From Seoul With Love was born from two things that have shaped my life: my Korean heritage and a lifelong passion for helping people feel confident in themselves.

Like many girls growing up in the 1980s, I spent my teenage years chasing the perfect tan. Baby oil, lemon juice in my hair, and hours in the sun without sunscreen - I did everything my Korean mother begged me not to do. She would hand me an umbrella and remind me to protect my skin. At the time, I wanted nothing more than to fit in.

Looking back, she knew exactly what she was talking about.

I’m a first-generation Korean American. My mother and grandmother were both born in Korea, and although I didn’t fully appreciate it then, they quietly passed down something that would shape the rest of my life: the belief that caring for your skin is also a way of caring for yourself.

What began with the Korean bathing traditions and skincare rituals I grew up with became something I carried with me throughout my life.

Skincare has been a personal passion of mine for most of my life. I’ve always loved trying different products, comparing them, learning about ingredients, and discovering what worked - from Korean skincare to products from all over the world.

Long before K-beauty became widely available in the United States, Korean skincare was already part of my everyday life. I was using Korean products, trying new formulas, and staying connected to what was happening in Korea.

I wasn’t searching for the next viral product.

I was searching for products that truly worked.

That search never stopped. It simply became From Seoul With Love.
